Won Deal → Stripe Invoice · Finance
Invoice the same day a HubSpot deal closes, after your approval
When a deal hits Closed won, it prepares the Stripe invoice for you to check. Once approved, it's created, sent with a payment page and noted on the deal.
Can't be bought yet: waiting for Stripe approval. It opens for purchase on its own once approved.
- Starts from an event in a connected app

Sound familiar?
The job, before and after this agent.
What it feels like today
- “Deals close on Friday and the invoice goes out sometime next week.”
- “We retype every closed deal into Stripe by hand.”
- “Sales has no idea whether the invoice was ever sent.”
What you get with the agent
- Invoice lines built from the deal description, or one line for the deal amount, checked against the deal total
- A billing contact picked by your rule
- Your approval before anything is created in Stripe, with every field editable
- Stripe customer found or created, invoice finalized and emailed with its payment page
- Invoice number, total and link noted on the HubSpot deal
Before
A rep marks the deal won, pings finance, and finance copies the details into Stripe when they have a gap.
After
The moment the deal is won, a ready invoice waits in Reviews. You approve, Stripe sends it, and the deal shows the invoice link.
How it works
The whole workflow, step by step.
Starts when a HubSpot deal reaches your Closed won stage. AI picks the billing contact by your rule and turns the deal into invoice lines — from the line items written in the deal description, or one line for the deal amount. The lines are added up in code, never by the AI, and compared with the deal amount, with any AI mistake corrected and flagged. A person approves the invoice and can edit any of it. The agent then finds or creates the Stripe customer, creates the draft invoice with every line, finalizes it, has Stripe email it with its payment page and notes the invoice number and link on the HubSpot deal. One-off invoices only, no subscriptions; nothing is created in Stripe before approval. Waits for Stripe approval before it can be switched on.

This is the workflow that opens in your workspace when you set the agent up. Every step can be edited.
- Step 1Deal reached Closed wonStarts when a HubSpot deal moves into the stage you pick (your Closed won stage). Checked on your plan's schedule interval.
- Step 2Read the dealReads the deal's details from HubSpot: name, amount, currency, description (where the line items are written) and close date.
- Step 3Find the deal's contactsLists the contacts linked to the deal (name, email, job title, company) to pick the billing contact.
- Step 4Prepare the invoiceAI picks the billing contact, turns the deal into invoice lines (amounts in cents; the total is rechecked in code next), sets the due date and memo from your rules, and lists anything to check.
- Step 5Check the mathAdds up the invoice lines and converts every amount to cents in code — not by AI — writes the correct total and its difference from the deal amount, fills the review summary from the checked figures and flags anything the AI got wrong. Stripe gets only the checked lines.
- Step 6Approve the invoiceA person checks the billing contact, every line and the total in Reviews, edits them if needed and approves. Nothing is created in Stripe before this approval.
- Step 7Not approvedRejected: nothing was created in Stripe.
- Step 8Find the Stripe customerLooks for an existing Stripe customer with the billing email.
- Step 9Already a Stripe customer? An existing customer is reused; otherwise one is created with the billing contact's name and email.
- Step 10Create the Stripe customerCreates the customer in Stripe with the billing contact's email and the company name.
- Step 11Create the draft invoiceCreates a draft invoice for the customer with your payment terms and memo.
- Step 12Each lineAdds every approved line to the draft invoice (up to 20); the loop stops at the first line Stripe refuses.
- Step 13Add the lineAdds the line (description and amount) to the draft invoice.
- Step 14All lines added?Only a complete invoice is finalized and sent; otherwise the draft stays in Stripe for you to fix.
- Step 15Draft left in StripeNo line or a failed line: the draft invoice stays in Stripe, unsent; the run history shows why.
- Step 16Line refused by StripeStripe refused a line: the draft invoice stays in Stripe, unsent; the run history shows Stripe's message.
- Step 17Finalize the invoiceFinalizes the draft: it gets its number, payment page and PDF.
- Step 18Email it from StripeStripe emails the invoice with its payment page to the billing contact.
- Step 19Note it on the dealLogs the invoice number, total and payment link on the HubSpot deal.
- Step 20Invoice sentThe run history keeps the deal, the approved invoice and Stripe's ids.
Example run
What goes in, and what comes out.
Example with fictional data
Comes in
A fictional deal, “Harbor Logistics, onboarding + annual licence”, $6,300, reaches Closed won with two line items in its description.
The agent produces
Draft: Onboarding $1,500 and Annual licence $4,800, total $6,300, matching the deal. After approval, Stripe emails the invoice and the deal gets a note with the invoice number and link.
What you need
Everything it takes to run it.
About 20 minutes from purchase to live. A checklist above the canvas takes you through each step.
Plan
Included in Enterprise; on other paid plans it's $99 once. Agents run live on paid plans, from Basic ($39/mo).
Your AI key
Connect any of 14 AI providers on your own key. Your provider bills usage directly, at cost; we add no markup.
Checklist
- A paid plan (agents run live on paid plans).
- An AI provider key (Settings → AI Providers).
- HubSpot and Stripe (a restricted key with write access to Customers, Invoices and Invoice Items), connected in Settings → Integrations. Stripe is waiting for approval, so this agent switches on once it's live.
- Deals with an amount, and line items written in the deal description if you want more than one line.
Setup, about 20 minutes
- Connect your AI provider. The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.
- Connect HubSpot. Connect the HubSpot account your deals are in (Settings → Integrations → HubSpot).
- Connect Stripe. Connect Stripe with a restricted key that can write Customers, Invoices and Invoice Items (Settings → Integrations → Stripe).
- Pick your Closed won stage. Open the trigger and pick your HubSpot account, pipeline and Closed won stage.
- Paste your invoicing rules. Open “Prepare the invoice” and replace the placeholder with your currency, payment terms, billing contact rule, line-item format and memo.
- Pick your HubSpot account in each step. Open “Read the deal”, “Find the deal's contacts” and “Note it on the deal” and pick your HubSpot account.
- Pick your Stripe account in each step. Open each Stripe step (find and create customer, draft invoice, lines, finalize, send) and pick your Stripe account.
- Test it with Dry Run. Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.
- Switch the trigger on. Open the trigger and click “Activate app trigger”: deals that reach the stage after activation are picked up on your plan's schedule interval.

FAQ
Questions about Won Deal → Stripe Invoice.
Which apps does it need?
HubSpot and Stripe. The agent's page shows whether each app is ready to connect.
Could it send a wrong invoice?
Nothing is created in Stripe until a person approves the invoice and can edit any line. The lines are added up in code (never by the AI) and compared with the deal amount, and if Stripe refuses a line the draft stays unsent for you to fix.
What can't it do?
One-off invoices only: no subscriptions, taxes or discounts. It reads line items written in the deal description, not HubSpot product line items, and it doesn't charge cards or chase payment.
What's involved and is it worth it?
About 20 minutes of setup with a restricted Stripe key. It's a one-time purchase that never renews, run on a paid plan with your own AI key; Dry Run is free.
Where do the line items come from?
From the deal: write them in the deal description in the format your rules describe (e.g. one “Item — amount” per line). With none, the invoice has one line for the deal amount. HubSpot product line items aren't read.
Can the AI get the total wrong?
Not in what you approve: after the AI reads the deal, the lines are added up in code and compared with the deal amount, and the review screen shows anything that was corrected. Each line's amount is read from the deal by the AI, so compare the lines with the deal before approving.
Is anything sent without approval?
No. Nothing is created in Stripe until a person approves the invoice in Reviews.
Does it set up subscriptions?
No. One-off invoices only.
Is this a subscription?
No. Won Deal → Stripe Invoice is a one-time purchase of $99 per workspace and never renews. The Enterprise plan includes it at no extra cost. Running it live needs a paid plan (from Basic ($39/mo)), and your AI provider bills you directly for usage.
Can I test it before it touches real data?
Yes. Once it's set up in your workspace, Dry Run plays every step on sample data with simulated AI and app calls: nothing is sent and nothing in your apps changes. Switch the trigger on only when you're happy.
Won Deal → Stripe Invoice is almost ready.
