Zapier alternatives in 2026, grouped by what you actually need

There's no single best Zapier alternative. There's the best one for your catalog needs, your hosting rules, your Microsoft licence, your task volume or your AI workload. Here are eight, sorted by the job, with sourced prices.

Vendor details last checked October 4, 2026 on their official pages. We make Fluxo Flow, so we're not neutral; every competitor fact links to its source.

In short

The main Zapier alternatives are Make (a large visual catalog), n8n and Activepieces (self-hostable), Microsoft Power Automate (Microsoft 365 shops), Pabbly Connect and Integrately (cheap task volume), Gumloop (AI agents) and Fluxo Flow (AI on your own key, human approvals and flat plans from $39/mo). Pick by what Zapier is costing or blocking you on: task bills, self-hosting, AI costs or approvals. Every vendor price below was checked on October 4, 2026.

You need a huge app catalog

If the reason you're on Zapier is a niche app nobody else supports, stay close to the big catalogs.

Make

Visual builders who need many apps
What you pay for
Credits
Price (checked October 4, 2026)
Core $12/mo, Pro $21/mo, Teams $38/mo, each shown as the price for 10k credits/mo. Paying annually saves 15% or more. Enterprise: custom pricing.[5][7]

Make is the closest like-for-like move from Zapier: a hosted visual scenario builder with 3,000+ standard apps. Routers and filters don't use credits, but the trigger does, so a scenario with a trigger and five modules uses about six credits per run (per Make Academy). Its entry price is lower than Zapier's: Core is listed at $12/mo for 10k credits, against Zapier Professional from $19.99/mo for 750 tasks.

Where it beats Fluxo Flow: catalog size, a mature drag-and-drop editor, and a very low entry price. Where it doesn't: long or AI-heavy scenarios still pay per module, and Make's own AI provider also converts tokens to credits. Fluxo Flow imports Make blueprints (best effort) if you try both. You want to self-host or write code

If data has to stay on your servers, or you want to read and change the source, look at the open and fair-code tools.

n8n

Self-hosting and custom code
What you pay for
Executions (whole runs)
Price (checked October 4, 2026)
Starter 20€/mo (2.5K executions), Pro 50€/mo (10K executions), Business 667€/mo (40K executions, self-hosted only), all billed annually. Enterprise: contact sales.[9][12][10]

n8n counts one execution per workflow run, however many steps it has, which is friendly to long workflows. The Community edition is free to self-host under the Sustainable Use License, and Code nodes cover anything missing from its 1500+ integrations.

Where it beats Fluxo Flow: self-hosting, custom code, catalog size and unlimited users. Where it doesn't: you run and patch the servers yourself (or pay for n8n Cloud in euros), and its human-in-the-loop feature is built around approving an AI agent's tool calls rather than a shared review queue. Fluxo Flow imports n8n workflow JSON (best effort). See Fluxo Flow vs n8n.

Activepieces

Open source (MIT) on a budget
What you pay for
Credits
Price (checked October 4, 2026)
Plus $20/mo (10,000 credits, up to 5 users, $0.007 per extra credit). Team $200/mo (50,000 credits, 25 users). Ultimate: custom, yearly. Embed (white-label builder for your product): from $36k a year.[13][14]

Activepieces' community edition is MIT licensed, so you can self-host it and change it freely, and its cloud Plus plan is $20/mo for up to five users. Credits are simple for plain steps, but AI steps cost 2, 10 or 20 credits depending on the model class.

Where it beats Fluxo Flow: open source, self-hosting and a cheaper entry plan for a small team. Where it doesn't: AI steps are priced in credits by model class, while ours run on your key at your provider's price; and there's no agency white-label plan short of its Embed offering (from $36k a year). See Fluxo Flow vs Activepieces.

Your company runs on Microsoft 365

If approvals already happen in Outlook and Teams, the Microsoft tool has a home-field advantage.

Microsoft Power Automate

Microsoft 365 and desktop RPA
What you pay for
Per user (or per bot)
Price (checked October 4, 2026)
Premium $15.00/user/mo paid yearly (cloud flows plus attended desktop flows). Process $150.00/bot/mo and Hosted Process $215.00/bot/mo paid yearly. Process Mining add-on $5,000.00/tenant/mo.[15][16]

Power Automate is licensed per user, not per run, and some Office 365 licences already include standard-connector flows, Approvals among them. Approvers answer from Outlook or a Teams card. Desktop flows automate Windows apps that have no API, which Fluxo Flow doesn't do.

Where it beats Fluxo Flow: Microsoft 365 depth, approvals in Outlook and Teams, desktop RPA and over 1,000 connectors. Where it doesn't: costs grow with every licensed user, and it's at its best inside Microsoft's world. Our Outlook, Teams, Excel and OneDrive connectors are beta. See Fluxo Flow vs Power Automate.

You run lots of simple app-to-app automations

If your Zaps are mostly 'when X, do Y' at high volume, per-task price matters more than anything else.

Pabbly Connect

Cheapest task volume, unlimited users
What you pay for
Tasks (action steps only)
Price (checked October 4, 2026)
Standard (10,000 tasks/mo) $19/mo billed monthly or $16/mo billed yearly; Unlimited (unlimited tasks) $79/mo or $69/mo billed yearly. USD prices from the page's US-dollar pricing; the page may show your local currency.[18]

Pabbly Connect only charges for action steps (filters, routers and formatters are free), allows unlimited team members on every plan, and sells one-time lifetime plans. For high-volume plumbing it's very hard to undercut.

Where it beats Fluxo Flow: price per task, unlimited users and a 2,000+ app catalog. Where Fluxo Flow differs: AI steps on your own key with Agent, Validator and Guardrail nodes, a Review Queue before risky steps, and Dry Run testing; check Pabbly's own docs for its AI options. See Fluxo Flow vs Pabbly Connect.

Integrately

One-click ready-made automations
What you pay for
Tasks
Price (checked October 4, 2026)
Starter $19.99/mo (2,000 tasks), Professional $39/mo (10,000), Growth $99/mo (30,000), Business $239/mo (150,000), billed annually.[19][20]

Integrately is built around ready-made automations between 1,500+ apps, with a low entry price. Triggers and failed actions are free; conditions, searches and data steps count as tasks.

Where it beats Fluxo Flow: entry price and speed to a working two-app automation. Where Fluxo Flow differs: multi-step AI workflows on your own key, human approvals, Dry Run and a REST API. See Fluxo Flow vs Integrately.

You want AI agents, not just steps

If the work can't be planned step by step, an agent platform may fit better than any workflow tool.

Gumloop

AI agents that pick their own tools
What you pay for
Credits (model and tool costs + fee)
Price (checked October 4, 2026)
Pro from $37/mo with 20,000 credits (7,400 plus 12,600 bonus). Past that, agents stop unless you enable pay as you go at $0.005/credit.[21]

Gumloop is agent-first: agent chats, 35+ models, MCP hosting, with workflows listed as legacy. Credits pass model tokens, compute and paid tool calls through at list price, plus an 8% orchestration fee (16% if you bring your own model key).

Where it beats Fluxo Flow: open-ended agent work, unlimited seats and one bill for models and tools. Where it doesn't: for repeatable processes, cost moves with every token and tool call, while our plan price stays flat and AI runs on your key with nothing added. See Fluxo Flow vs Gumloop and our guide to AI agents vs AI workflows.

You want AI on your own key, approvals and a flat bill

This is the gap we built Fluxo Flow for. It's not the right gap for everyone.

Fluxo Flow

AI workflows with human approvals
What you pay for
Flat plan (workflows + seats)
Price (checked October 4, 2026)
Free to build and Dry Run; paid plans Basic $39/mo, Pro $119/mo, Business $237/mo, Elite $514/mo.

We make Fluxo Flow, so weigh this entry accordingly. It's a hosted visual workflow builder where AI steps run on your own key from 14 providers at your provider's price, a Human Review node and Review Queue come with every plan, and Dry Run tests a whole workflow with side effects and AI simulated. Plans limit workflows, seats and schedule speed; nothing is metered per run, task or step. Agencies can resell it under their own brand on the Partner plan.

Where it's weaker: 5 live integrations plus HTTP and webhooks, with 39 more in beta, which is far fewer than Zapier or Make; hosted only, no self-hosting; and at very low volume a $20 plan elsewhere costs less. Run your own numbers in the cost calculator.

How to choose in five questions

Answer these in order and stop at the first hard "yes":

  1. Does one niche app decide it? Check that app's integration on each shortlist tool first. If only Zapier or Make has it, the rest of this list is academic (unless the app has an API you can call with an HTTP step).
  2. Must it run on your own servers? Then it's n8n or Activepieces.
  3. Do approvals and files live in Microsoft 365? Price Power Automate per user against a flat plan.
  4. Is it mostly high-volume, two-step plumbing? Pabbly Connect or Integrately will be cheapest.
  5. Do AI steps do real work, and does a person need to check them? Look at how each tool meters AI (per-step credits, task multipliers or your own key) and whether approvals are a queue or a bolt-on.

Then rebuild one real workflow on your top two and compare a week of runs, not a feature table. Our migration guide covers the rebuild step by step.

Why the bill changes when you leave Zapier

Zapier counts a task for each successful action step, so a six-step Zap uses six tasks a run. Since June 15, 2026, AI by Zapier steps count 1, 3 or 5 tasks by model tier, plus the same rate again per tool call, and Premium (5) is the default for new steps. That's why AI-heavy Zaps are usually what pushes people to look elsewhere. Zapier pricing explained works through real examples, and the pricing models compared post runs the same workflow through tasks, credits, executions and a flat plan.

A note on Relay.app: it shut down in September 2026 and deleted its users' data. If you were a Relay.app user, this page maps its features onto the tools above.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is the best Zapier alternative?

It depends on why you're leaving. Make for a big visual catalog, n8n or Activepieces to self-host, Power Automate inside Microsoft 365, Pabbly Connect or Integrately for cheap task volume, Gumloop for AI agents, and Fluxo Flow for AI steps on your own key with human approvals and flat plans.

What is cheaper than Zapier?

For high-volume, simple automations, Pabbly Connect, Integrately and Make usually cost less per task, and self-hosted n8n or Activepieces cost only your servers. For AI-heavy or many-step workflows, flat-plan tools can cost less because steps aren't metered. Compare with your own run counts; prices on this page are dated.

Is there a free Zapier alternative?

Self-hosted n8n (Community edition) and Activepieces (MIT community edition) are free to run on your own servers. Most hosted tools have a free plan with low limits. Fluxo Flow's Free plan lets you build and Dry Run workflows but doesn't run them live.

Which Zapier alternative lets me use my own OpenAI or Anthropic key?

Several: Fluxo Flow (any of 14 providers, billed by your provider at cost), Make (AI Agents can use your own key), Activepieces (bring your own AI keys on Plus and above), n8n, and Gumloop (with a 16% orchestration fee on own-key usage). Zapier itself lets you connect your own AI account at 1 task per AI step.

Can I import my Zaps into another tool?

Not directly. Zapier exports Zaps as JSON on Team and Enterprise plans, but the file is meant for re-importing into Zapier. Plan to rebuild Zaps; tools like Fluxo Flow can import n8n workflows and Make blueprints, not Zaps.
