Sound familiar?

The job, before and after this agent.

What it feels like today

  • “Monday mornings go to updating the metrics deck instead of acting on it.”
  • “A drop in conversions went unnoticed for three weeks.”
  • “Leadership asks what changed and nobody has a quick, consistent answer.”

What you get with the agent

  • A scheduled read of your metrics tab in Google Sheets (Mondays at 8:00 by default).
  • Each metric compared with the previous period and the recent average, quoting the values it compared.
  • Moves over 20% and missed targets called out, with possible explanations framed as things to check.
  • Data problems such as blank cells and missing periods listed.
  • A short digest posted to your alerts channel when something needs attention, or your metrics channel otherwise.

Before

Every Monday you copy numbers into a slide, eyeball the trends and write three bullet points. A slow slide in trial signups hides between busy weeks.

After

At 8am a two-minute digest is in Slack: trial signups down sharply versus the recent average, target missed, two things to check, and a note that last week's churn cell is blank.

How it works

The whole workflow, step by step.

On a schedule (Mondays at 8:00 by default), the agent reads your metrics tab in Google Sheets (one row per period, one column per metric), compares the latest period with the previous one and the recent average, quoting the values it compared, and checks your targets. Moves over 20% and missed targets are called out with possible explanations framed as things to check, along with data problems such as blank cells. A short digest goes to your Slack alerts channel when something needs attention, otherwise to your metrics channel. It reads a Google Sheet you keep up to date; it doesn't connect to databases or warehouses, write SQL or draw charts.

This is the workflow that opens in your workspace when you set the agent up. Every step can be edited.

  1. Step 1Every Monday at 8:00Runs once a week (change the schedule and time zone on the trigger, e.g. daily at 7:00).
  2. Step 2Read your metrics sheetReads every row of your metrics tab in Google Sheets: one row per period (day, week or month), one column per metric.
  3. Step 3Analyze trends and anomaliesAI compares the latest period with the previous one and the recent average, checks your targets, calls out unusual moves with possible explanations and writes the digest.
  4. Step 4Check the mathRecalculates each metric's % change against the previous period in code — not by AI — writes the correct figures into the digest, and flags anything the AI got wrong.
  5. Step 5Anything unusual?Digests with an anomaly or a missed target go to your alerts channel; normal weeks go to your digest channel.
  6. Step 6Post the digest with the anomaliesPosts the headline, the anomalies with possible explanations, the digest and what to check to the channel you pick for metric alerts.
  7. Step 7Alert postedThe run history keeps the digest and the anomalies.
  8. Step 8Post the weekly digestPosts the headline, the digest and what to check to your metrics channel.
  9. Step 9Digest postedThe run history keeps every digest.

Example run

What goes in, and what comes out.

Example with fictional data

Comes in

Fictional Wavecrest Apps metrics sheet: weekly rows for signups, activation rate, MRR and churn; signups target 400; latest week 310, previous 405.

The agent produces

Alert digest: signups 310 vs 405 last week and target 400, missed. Activation steady. Things to check: paid campaign pause, signup form changes. Data note: churn blank for the latest week.

What you need

Everything it takes to run it.

About 15 minutes from purchase to live. A checklist above the canvas takes you through each step.

Plan

Included in Enterprise; on other paid plans it's $129 once. Agents run live on paid plans, from Basic ($39/mo).

Your AI key

Connect any of 14 AI providers on your own key. Your provider bills usage directly, at cost; we add no markup.

Apps

Checklist

  • A paid plan (agents run live on paid plans).
  • An AI provider key (Settings → AI Providers).
  • Google Sheets and Slack, connected in Settings → Integrations.
  • A Google Sheet with one row per period and one column per metric, kept up to date by you or another workflow.

Setup, about 15 minutes

  1. Connect your AI provider. The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.
  2. Connect Google Sheets. Connect the Google account that can open your metrics sheet (Settings → Integrations → Google Sheets).
  3. Connect Slack. Connect the Slack workspace your team uses (Settings → Integrations → Slack).
  4. Pick your metrics sheet. Open “Read your metrics sheet”, pick your Google account, paste the spreadsheet link and pick the tab.
  5. Describe your metrics and targets. Open “Analyze trends and anomalies” and replace the placeholder with what each column means and your targets.
  6. Pick the Slack channels. Open the two Slack steps and pick your account and a channel in each (they can be the same). Invite the app to private channels first (/invite @Fluxo Flow).
  7. Test it with Dry Run. Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.
  8. Switch the trigger on. Open the trigger, check the day, time and time zone, and switch the schedule on.

Is it a fit?

Who it's for, and what it won't do.

Built for

  • Founders and small leadership teams
  • Operations and RevOps managers
  • Marketing leads tracking weekly KPIs
  • Agencies reporting on client metrics

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't connect to databases or warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres…) or write SQL.
  • It doesn't answer ad-hoc questions or draw charts; it posts a scheduled text digest.
  • It doesn't know causes it can't see in the data: explanations are hypotheses to check. Double-check figures before big decisions.
  • It reads one tab per run; very large sheets (thousands of rows) should be trimmed to recent periods.

We list the limits up front so you can decide before you buy.

FAQ

Questions about Metrics Digest Analyst.

Can I trust its analysis?

It quotes the exact values it compared, so every claim is checkable, and it frames causes as hypotheses to check, not facts. Double-check figures before big decisions.

Does it connect to my database or warehouse?

No. It reads a Google Sheet with one row per period and one column per metric, kept up to date by export, by hand or by another workflow. It doesn't write SQL or draw charts.

How long is setup?

About 15 minutes: connect Google Sheets and Slack and describe your metrics and targets. To run it live you need a paid plan and your own AI provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others), added in Settings. Dry Run on sample data is free, so you can see real output before you commit.

Is it worth the price?

It's a one-time purchase that never renews. Compare it with the hours spent on a weekly report, and the cost of noticing a drop weeks late.

Can it query my database or warehouse?

No. It reads a Google Sheet. Keep the sheet up to date by export, by hand, or with another workflow that appends a row each period.

How should the sheet look?

A header row, then one row per period (oldest at the top), with a period or date column and one column per metric. Keep it to the last 6–12 months.

Is this a subscription?

No. Metrics Digest Analyst is a one-time purchase of $129 per workspace and never renews. The Enterprise plan includes it at no extra cost. Running it live needs a paid plan (from Basic ($39/mo)), and your AI provider bills you directly for usage.

Can I test it before it touches real data?

Yes. Once it's set up in your workspace, Dry Run plays every step on sample data with simulated AI and app calls: nothing is sent and nothing in your apps changes. Switch the trigger on only when you're happy.
