Vehicle Ready Pickup Text · Automotive
Cars picked up faster, without calling every customer
Mark a job ready in your sheet and the customer gets a short pickup message with the total, pay link and hours: a text if they opted in, an email if not.
Can't be bought yet: waiting for Twilio approval. It opens for purchase on its own once approved.
- Starts from an event in a connected app
- 1 AI step

- About 15 min to set up
Sound familiar?
The job, before and after this agent.
What it feels like today
- “The lot is full of finished cars waiting on a callback.”
- “Advisors spend the afternoon on the phone saying your car is ready.”
- “Customers show up without paying and the counter line backs up.”
What you get with the agent
- A short pickup message: ready, total, hours and pay link.
- Texts only to customers marked opted in, always ending Reply STOP to opt out.
- Email for everyone else; rows with neither marked call the customer.
- Each row logged with how and when the customer was told.
- Optional approval switch; rows missing a total or vehicle always wait for a person.
Before
Five cars done by 3pm. Two voicemails, one wrong number, and a customer who walks in at 6:05 asking what they owe.
After
Each car marked ready gets a text or email within minutes with the total and pay link, so customers can pay before they arrive.
How it works
The whole workflow, step by step.
When a job is marked ready in your sheet (customer, mobile, SMS opt-in, total, pay link, pickup hours), AI writes a short pickup message. Customers marked as opted in get it by SMS from your Twilio number, always ending with “Reply STOP to opt out”; everyone else gets it by email, and rows with neither are marked “call the customer”. Each row is logged with how the customer was told. An approval switch is available (off by default). It's one-way: replies land in Twilio (pair it with SMS Inbox Assistant). A2P 10DLC registration and consent records are the shop's job, and it texts only rows marked opted in.

This is the workflow that opens in your workspace when you set the agent up. Every step can be edited.
- Step 1Job marked readyStarts a run for each row added to your “ready for pickup” sheet (customer, mobile, SMS opt-in, total, pay link, pickup hours), checked on your plan's schedule interval.
- Step 2Write the pickup messageAI checks the SMS opt-in, formats the mobile number and writes a short text (ready, total, hours, pay link, “Reply STOP to opt out”) — or an email when the customer hasn't opted in to texts.
- Step 3Approve first?Switched off by default: messages go out straight away. Switch it on in your shop details to approve every message; rows missing a total or vehicle always wait.
- Step 4Check the messageA person checks the message, the opt-in and the number, edits if needed and approves.
- Step 5Not sentRejected: nothing was sent and the row wasn't marked.
- Step 6Text, email or neither?Texts go only to customers marked opted in; the rest get an email, or the row is marked “call the customer”.
- Step 7Text the customer (Twilio)Sends the pickup text from your Twilio number, ending with “Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Step 8Email the customer insteadCustomers who haven't opted in to texts get the same message by email, with replies going to your service desk.
- Step 9Log it in the sheetWrites how the customer was told (text, email or “call the customer”) and the time into the row.
- Step 10LoggedThe row shows how the customer was told.

Is this a subscription?

Yes. Once it's set up in your workspace, Dry Run plays every step on sample data with simulated AI and app calls: nothing is sent and nothing in your apps changes. Switch the trigger on only when you're happy.
