Sound familiar?

The job, before and after this agent.

What it feels like today

  • “Retyping every order from the TMS into the load board.”
  • “Guessing the posted rate and giving away margin on lanes I don't run often.”
  • “Loads sit unposted for an hour because the whole desk is on the phone.”

What you get with the agent

  • Every new McLeod order read for lane, windows, equipment, weight and customer rate; covered, incomplete or excluded orders skipped with the reason.
  • A Truckstop Rate Insights estimate for the lane and a suggested all-in rate, never above the customer rate minus your minimum margin.
  • A broker approves or edits the rate and note before anything posts.
  • Approved loads posted to Truckstop with your contact details, with the full trail kept in run history.

Before

A Dallas to Atlanta dry van order drops. Someone retypes it, checks rates in another tab, picks a number and posts it 40 minutes later.

After

The order is read, priced against the market estimate and your margin rule, and waiting in Reviews. The broker checks the rate, taps approve, and it's on the board.

How it works

The whole workflow, step by step.

Starts on each new order in your McLeod LoadMaster / PowerBroker server. AI reads the lane, pickup and delivery windows, equipment (mapped to Truckstop's codes with your equipment map), weight and customer rate, and skips orders that are covered, incomplete or excluded by your rules. For the rest it pulls a Truckstop Rate Insights estimate and suggests the all-in rate to post, never above the customer rate minus your minimum margin. A broker approves or edits the rate in Reviews, and the load is posted to the Truckstop load board with your contact details. It posts to Truckstop only (not DAT) and doesn't book carriers.

This is the workflow that opens in your workspace when you set the agent up. Every step can be edited.

  1. Step 1New order in McLeodStarts a run for each new order on your McLeod LoadMaster / PowerBroker server (checked every few minutes).
  2. Step 2Read the order and build the postAI reads the McLeod order and pulls out the lane, pickup and delivery windows, equipment, weight and the customer rate, maps the equipment to Truckstop's codes and decides whether the load should be posted.
  3. Step 3Post this load?Orders that are already covered, incomplete or excluded by your rules are skipped (with the reason kept); the rest get a market rate and a suggested post.
  4. Step 4Get the Truckstop rate estimateAsks Truckstop Rate Insights what carriers are being paid on this lane for this equipment and ship date.
  5. Step 5Suggest the posted rateAI reads the Truckstop estimate, applies your posting rules and margin against the customer rate, and suggests the all-in rate to post with its reasoning.
  6. Step 6Check the mathRecalculates the rate per mile (posted rate ÷ miles) in code — not by AI — and flags it for the broker if the AI got it wrong.
  7. Step 7Approve the post and rateA broker checks the lane, windows and suggested rate in Reviews, edits the rate or note if needed, and approves it to post on Truckstop.
  8. Step 8Post the load on TruckstopPosts the approved load to the Truckstop load board with the lane, windows, equipment, your load number, the approved rate and your contact.
  9. Step 9PostedThe run history keeps the order, the estimate, the approved rate and Truckstop's load ID.
  10. Step 10Not approvedRejected posts are kept in the run history; nothing was posted.
  11. Step 11Not postedThe run history keeps the order and why it wasn't posted.

Example with fictional data

Comes in

The agent produces

Truckstop estimate pulled for the lane, a suggested posted rate under your minimum margin with the reasoning, waiting for broker approval, then posted to Truckstop with your contact.

What you need

Everything it takes to run it.

Apps

Checklist

  • A paid plan (agents run live on paid plans).
  • An AI provider key (Settings → AI Providers).
  • McLeod API access (web services URL reachable from the internet) and Truckstop API access with Load Management and Rate Insights.
  • Your equipment map (McLeod type → Truckstop code and IDs) and posting rules.

Setup, about 30 minutes

  1. Connect your AI provider. The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.
  2. Connect McLeod. Connect your McLeod server (web services URL + user or API token) in Settings → Integrations → McLeod. Your McLeod admin can provide these.
  3. Connect Truckstop. Connect Truckstop with the client ID/secret Truckstop issued for your integration (Load Management + Rate Insights).
  4. Pick the McLeod connection. Open the trigger “New order in McLeod” and pick your McLeod connection.
  5. Map equipment and write your posting rules. Open “Read the order and build the post” and “Suggest the posted rate” and replace the placeholders with your equipment map and posting rules.
  6. Pick the Truckstop connection and contact. Open “Get the Truckstop rate estimate” and “Post the load on Truckstop”, pick your Truckstop connection in each and fill in the contact name and phone carriers will see.
  7. Test it with Dry Run. Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.
  8. Switch the trigger on. Open the trigger and press “Activate app trigger”: from then on each new McLeod order starts a run. Assign the review step to your load board desk.

Is it a fit?

Who it's for, and what it won't do.

Built for

  • Freight brokerages on McLeod LoadMaster or PowerBroker
  • Carrier sales reps posting loads all day
  • Brokerage owners protecting margin

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't post to DAT or other load boards: Truckstop only.
  • It doesn't book or vet carriers, or update the order in McLeod.
  • The Truckstop estimate is a market estimate, not a guaranteed buy rate. When no usable estimate comes back, the broker sets the rate.
  • Multi-stop loads are posted with the first pickup and last drop; extra stops go in the note.
  • Coming soon until McLeod and Truckstop are approved.

We list the limits up front so you can decide before you buy.

FAQ

Questions about Load Board Poster.

Which apps does it need?

McLeod and Truckstop, with API access to both, including Rate Insights. The agent's page shows whether each app is ready to connect.

Will it post a bad rate?

Not on its own. Every post waits for a broker, who can edit the rate. The estimate is a market estimate, not a buy rate, and when no usable estimate comes back the broker sets the rate.

Does it book carriers or post everywhere?

No. It posts to Truckstop only, and it doesn't book or vet carriers or update the order in McLeod. Carriers call you and you book them as usual.

What does setup and cost look like?

About 30 minutes once the apps are connected: map your equipment, write posting rules, Dry Run. A one-time unlock that never renews; live runs need a paid plan and your own AI key.

Does it post without a person checking?

No. Every post waits in Reviews until a broker approves the lane and rate; they can edit the rate first.

Does it post to DAT too?

Not yet. It posts to Truckstop only.

Does it book carriers?

No. It posts the load; carriers call you and you book them as usual.

Is this a subscription?

No. Load Board Poster is a one-time purchase of $179 per workspace and never renews. The Enterprise plan includes it at no extra cost. Running it live needs a paid plan (from Basic ($39/mo)), and your AI provider bills you directly for usage.

Can I test it before it touches real data?

Yes. Once it's set up in your workspace, Dry Run plays every step on sample data with simulated AI and app calls: nothing is sent and nothing in your apps changes. Switch the trigger on only when you're happy.
