Sound familiar?

The job, before and after this agent.

What it feels like today

  • “New leads sit in the intake queue overnight because nobody owns assigning them.”
  • “Reps complain the good leads always go to the same person.”
  • “Our assignment rules live in a spreadsheet only one person understands.”

What you get with the agent

  • Each new Salesforce lead matched to a territory or segment from your written rules: country, size, industry, source.
  • Round-robin within each pool, remembered between runs, so leads are shared evenly.
  • Owner and a Hot, Warm or Cold Rating set on the lead in Salesforce.
  • The new owner gets a Slack DM with a lead summary.
  • Unclear leads wait for a sales ops person to approve, and leads a rep already owns are never reassigned.

Before

A lead from a 240-person logistics company comes in at 2pm and waits in the queue until a manager assigns it the next morning.

After

On the next scheduled check, it's matched to the Midwest mid-market pool, assigned to the next rep in rotation, rated Hot, and that rep has a Slack DM with the summary.

How it works

The whole workflow, step by step.

Each new Salesforce Lead is matched to a territory or segment from your written rules (country, company size, industry, lead source). Within a pool of several reps, leads go round-robin: the agent remembers who got the last one. It sets the Lead's Owner and a Hot / Warm / Cold Rating from your rules and DMs the new owner a summary in Slack. It only routes leads owned by a queue or an owner you mark as “not routed yet”, so nothing a rep already owns is reassigned. Unclear leads wait for a sales ops person, and you can switch on review for every lead. No outside enrichment.

This is the workflow that opens in your workspace when you set the agent up. Every step can be edited.

  1. Step 1New lead in SalesforceStarts a run for each new Salesforce Lead (checked on your plan's schedule interval).
  2. Step 2Recall the rotationReads who got the last lead in each territory or segment, so leads are shared round-robin. Nothing is found on the first run.
  3. Step 3Apply your routing rulesAI matches the lead to a territory or segment from your written rules, picks the next rep in that pool (round-robin), sets the rating and writes the rep's summary.
  4. Step 4Route it?Leads already owned by a rep are left alone. Unclear leads wait for a sales ops person; the rest are assigned at once.
  5. Step 5Left as isThe lead already has an owner; the run history keeps the check.
  6. Step 6Sales ops checks the assignmentA sales ops person sees the lead, the proposed owner and why it's unclear in Reviews, edits the owner if needed and approves.
  7. Step 7Remember the rotationSaves who got this lead in its pool (so the next lead goes to the next rep) and the assignment used by the next steps.
  8. Step 8Set the owner and ratingUpdates the Lead's Owner and Rating in Salesforce.
  9. Step 9Find the rep in SlackLooks up the new owner's Slack account by their email.
  10. Step 10DM the repSends the lead summary to the new owner as a direct message from the Fluxo Flow app.
  11. Step 11RoutedThe run history keeps the lead, the rule used and the owner.

What goes in, and what comes out.

Example with fictional data

Comes in

New Salesforce lead: Megan, Head of Operations at Acme Logistics, United States, Illinois, 240 employees, Transportation, source Web, owned by the intake queue.

The agent produces

Territory: North America mid-market. Next rep in that pool assigned as Owner. Rating: Hot (web inbound, target size and industry). Slack DM to the rep with title, company, size and source.

What you need

Everything it takes to run it.

About 20 minutes from purchase to live. A checklist above the canvas takes you through each step.

Plan

Included in Enterprise; on other paid plans it's $119 once. Agents run live on paid plans, from Basic ($39/mo).

Apps

Checklist

  • A paid plan (agents run live on paid plans).
  • An AI provider key (Settings → AI Providers).
  • Salesforce (with API access) and Slack, connected in Settings → Integrations.
  • Your reps' Salesforce User Ids and emails (their Slack emails must match).

Setup, about 20 minutes

  1. Connect your AI provider. The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.
  2. Connect Salesforce. Connect your Salesforce org (Settings → Integrations → Salesforce). It needs API access (Enterprise edition or above).
  3. Connect Slack. Connect the Slack workspace your reps use (Settings → Integrations → Slack).
  4. Write your routing rules. Open “Apply your routing rules” and replace the placeholder with your pools, reps (email + Salesforce User Id) and rating rules.
  5. Pick your Salesforce account. Open the trigger and “Set the owner and rating” and pick your org in each.
  6. Pick your Slack account. Open “Find the rep in Slack” and “DM the rep” and pick your account. Each rep's Slack email must match the email in your rules.
  7. Test it with Dry Run. Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.
  8. Switch the trigger on. Open the trigger and click “Activate app trigger”: new leads are picked up on your plan's schedule interval. Leads created before activation aren't routed.

Is it a fit?

Who it's for, and what it won't do.

Built for

  • Sales teams with territories or segments in Salesforce
  • Sales ops managers tired of manual assignment
  • Inside sales teams sharing inbound leads by round-robin

What it doesn't do

  • It never reassigns a lead a rep already owns: only leads owned by a queue or an owner you list as “not routed yet”.
  • It routes by your written rules only: no outside enrichment or company lookup.
  • It doesn't check reps' working hours, capacity or time off.
  • It doesn't convert leads, create tasks or email the lead.

We list the limits up front so you can decide before you buy.

FAQ

Questions about Salesforce Lead Router.

Will it take leads away from my reps?

No. It only routes leads owned by a queue or an owner you list as not routed yet. Anything a rep already owns is left alone.

What if a lead doesn't fit any rule?

It waits in Reviews for a sales ops person. You can also switch on review for every lead while you build trust in the rules.

What do I need to set it up?

Salesforce with API access, Slack, and your reps' Salesforce user ids and emails. Setup takes about 20 minutes. It routes by your rules only, with no outside enrichment.

Is it worth the price?

A one-time price that never renews, against someone assigning leads by hand every day. Live runs need a paid plan and your own AI provider key.

Will it take leads away from reps?

No. It only routes leads owned by a queue or by an owner you list as “not routed yet” (e.g. your integration user). Anything a rep already owns is left alone.

How does round-robin work?

The agent remembers, per territory or segment, which rep got the last lead and gives the next one to the next rep in the order your rules list them. The memory is kept until you delete it; changing the rep list simply continues from the last rep it finds.

Is this a subscription?

No. Salesforce Lead Router is a one-time purchase of $119 per workspace and never renews. The Enterprise plan includes it at no extra cost. Running it live needs a paid plan (from Basic ($39/mo)), and your AI provider bills you directly for usage.

Can I test it before it touches real data?

Yes. Once it's set up in your workspace, Dry Run plays every step on sample data with simulated AI and app calls: nothing is sent and nothing in your apps changes. Switch the trigger on only when you're happy.
