Sound familiar?
The job, before and after this agent.
What it feels like today
- “I can't keep up with comments, so good questions sit unanswered for weeks.”
- “Viewers suggest great video ideas and I lose them in the scroll.”
- “Spam and the occasional nasty comment make me dread opening the comments at all.”
What you get with the agent
- The newest public comments on your channel read every morning, each one covered once.
- Comments sorted into questions, video ideas, praise worth keeping, complaints and spam or abuse.
- Reply drafts for the top 10 questions in your voice, using only your notes and the comment.
- Every video idea added to your Notion ideas database.
- A Slack digest with links to every comment, so you can reply in seconds.
Before
You scroll through comments on your phone at night, reply to a few, forget the rest, and lose the viewer who asked for a follow-up video.
After
Over coffee you read one Slack digest: eight questions with drafts ready to paste, three new ideas already in Notion, and two spam comments to remove.
How it works
The whole workflow, step by step.
Every morning the agent reads the 100 newest public comment threads on your channel through the YouTube Data API, using your own free API key, and remembers where yesterday's digest stopped so each comment is covered once. AI sorts the new comments into questions, video ideas, praise worth keeping as testimonials, complaints and spam or abuse, treating comment text as untrusted data. It drafts replies to the top 10 questions in your voice, using only your notes and the comment. Video ideas go to your Notion ideas database and the digest, with links to every comment, goes to Slack. It can't post replies (that needs YouTube sign-in), so you paste the drafts you like. It doesn't moderate or delete anything.

This is the workflow that opens in your workspace when you set the agent up. Every step can be edited.
- Step 1Every morning at 8:00Runs once a day. Set your time zone on the trigger.
- Step 2Recall where the last digest stoppedReads the id and time of the newest comment the previous digest saw, so only newer comments are digested. Nothing is found on the first run.
- Step 3Read your channel's newest commentsCalls the YouTube Data API (commentThreads, newest first) for the 100 newest public comment threads on your channel's videos. Your free API key is stored encrypted on the connection and added as the key parameter; each run uses about 1 unit of YouTube's 10,000-unit daily quota.
- Step 4Sort the new comments and draft repliesAI keeps only comments newer than the last digest, sorts them into questions, video ideas, praise, complaints and spam or abuse, and drafts replies to the top 10 questions in your voice.
- Step 5Anything new? When no comment is newer than the last digest, nothing is posted.
- Step 6Nothing newNo new comments since the last digest; the run history keeps the check.
- Step 7Each video ideaRepeats the Notion step for every video idea viewers suggested (up to 10 per run).
- Step 8Add the idea to NotionAdds the idea to your Notion video-ideas database (Status Idea), with the viewers' words, likes and links to the comments.
- Step 9Post the digest to SlackPosts the digest (questions with reply drafts, ideas, praise, complaints, spam to review) to your channel.
- Step 10Remember the newest commentSaves the id and time of the newest comment seen, so tomorrow's digest starts after it. Kept for 60 days.
- Step 11Digest postedThe run history keeps the digest and the drafted replies.

Setup, about 15 minutes
- Connect your AI provider. The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.
- Connect the YouTube Data API (HTTP / Custom API). Add an HTTP / Custom API connection: base URL https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3, authentication “API key in a query parameter”, parameter name key and your YouTube Data API v3 key.
- Connect Notion. Connect Notion and share your video-ideas database with the Fluxo Flow integration (Settings → Integrations → Notion).
- Connect Slack. Connect the Slack workspace the digest goes to (Settings → Integrations → Slack).
- Point it at your channel. Open “Read your channel's newest comments”, pick the YouTube connection and replace YOUR_CHANNEL_ID in the query parameters.

- Test it with Dry Run. Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.
- Switch the trigger on. Open the trigger, set your time zone and switch the schedule on. The first digest covers the last 26 hours.
Is it a fit?
Who it's for, and what it won't do.
Built for
- YouTube creators and educators
- Small brands with an active YouTube channel
- Channel managers working for creators
What it doesn't do
- It can't post replies (that needs YouTube sign-in): you paste the drafts yourself.
- It reads public top-level comments only (not replies, members-only posts or Shorts remixes), up to the 100 newest per run; a very busy channel may have more in a day.
- It doesn't moderate, hide or delete anything: spam and abuse are listed for you to review.
- Drafts never invent facts, links, dates or promises; unknown answers say you'll look into it.
We list the limits up front so you can decide before you buy.

FAQ
Questions about YouTube Comment Digest.
Can it post the replies for me?
No. Posting needs YouTube sign-in, which this agent doesn't use; it reads public comments with an API key. You paste the drafts you like.
Does it delete spam?
No. It doesn't moderate, hide or delete anything; spam and abuse are listed for you to review. Drafts never invent facts, links or promises.
What do I need?
A free YouTube Data API key, plus Notion with a video-ideas database and Slack. Setup takes about 15 minutes. It reads up to the 100 newest top-level comment threads per run.
Is it worth the price?
A one-time price that never renews, against an hour a day in the comments. Live runs need a paid plan and your own AI provider key; Dry Run is free.
Can it post the replies?
No. Posting needs YouTube sign-in (OAuth), which this agent doesn't use: it reads public comments with an API key only. Copy the drafts you like into YouTube.
How do I get an API key?
In Google Cloud Console, create a project, enable “YouTube Data API v3” and create an API key (restrict it to that API). It's free; each run uses about 1 unit of the 10,000-unit daily quota.
Where do I find my channel id?
In YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Advanced settings, or in your channel's URL: it starts with UC.
What Notion database do I need?
A database with the properties Name (title), Status (select with an Idea option), shared with the Fluxo Flow integration (••• → Connections).
Is this a subscription?
No. YouTube Comment Digest is a one-time purchase of $89 per workspace and never renews. The Enterprise plan includes it at no extra cost. Running it live needs a paid plan (from Basic ($39/mo)), and your AI provider bills you directly for usage.
Can I test it before it touches real data?
Yes. Once it's set up in your workspace, Dry Run plays every step on sample data with simulated AI and app calls: nothing is sent and nothing in your apps changes. Switch the trigger on only when you're happy.
