E-commerce integration

Square integration for AI workflows.

Connect Square sales to the rest of your business: customers, orders, invoices and every new payment.

Beta

In short

Fluxo Flow connects to Square by signing in to Square; workflows can create a customer, find a customer by email and create an order and more, and start from new payment and new customer. The integration is in beta.

Beta means it works but hasn't been tested against every account setup yet; actions and fields may still change. Found a problem? Tell us.

What you can do

Actions and triggers for Square.

Actions

  • Create a customer

Adds a customer to the seller's customer directory.

  • Find a customer by email

Finds customers with an exact email address.

  • Create an order

Creates an order with one custom line (e.g. to invoice it).

  • Create an invoice

Creates a draft invoice for an order (the order must have a customer). Publish it to send it.

  • Publish an invoice

Publishes a draft invoice: Square sends it (email/SMS) and it gets a payment page.

  • List payments

    Lists recent payments, newest first.

Triggers

  • New payment (checked on your plan's schedule interval)

Starts a run for each new payment (in-person, online or invoice). Check Status for COMPLETED.

  • New customer (checked on your plan's schedule interval)

Starts a run for each customer added to the directory.

How to connect

Connect Square in a minute.

Connects by signing in to Square. Tokens are encrypted and renewed automatically.

  1. Open Settings → Integrations and click Connect on Square (pick Sandbox only for a Square developer test account).
  2. Sign in to Square and allow access.
  3. Start a workflow from “New payment”, or create a customer, order or invoice in a step.

Permissions & limits

What it can access, and how fast it runs.

Permissions requested

  • Connection label

    MERCHANT_PROFILE_READ

  • Customers

    CUSTOMERS_READ, CUSTOMERS_WRITE

  • Orders

    ORDERS_READ, ORDERS_WRITE

  • Payments (list + trigger)

    PAYMENTS_READ

  • Invoices

    INVOICES_READ, INVOICES_WRITE

Limits and timing

  • Polling triggers are checked on your plan's schedule interval: Basic every 15 minutes, Pro every 5 minutes, Business every 2 minutes, Elite every minute.
  • Square triggers check at most every 2 minutes, whatever your plan, to respect Square's limits.
  • If Square says to slow down (HTTP 429 or 503), requests wait as told and retry a limited number of times.

FAQ

Square questions, answered.

Can a retried step charge or create things twice?

No. Each create call carries a unique idempotency key, so Square ignores an automatic retry of the same request.

How fast does “New payment” fire?

It checks Square on your plan's schedule interval (as often as every minute).

Is the Square integration finished?

It's in beta: it works, but it hasn't been tested against every account setup yet. Tell us if something doesn't behave as expected.

Can I use Square on the Free plan?

You can connect it, build with it and Dry Run on the Free plan. Running workflows live (triggers, schedules, webhooks) needs a paid plan.

What happens if the connection expires?

Access tokens are renewed automatically. If Square revokes access (for example, the person who connected it leaves), steps that use the connection fail and show the error in the run trace; reconnect in Settings → Integrations.

Can I call Square endpoints the integration doesn't cover?

Yes, if Square has an API: save a key in the encrypted credential vault and call it with an HTTP Request step.

Can I test a workflow without touching my real data?

Yes. Dry Run walks through every step with simulated app calls, so nothing is sent until you run it for real or activate its trigger.
