Legal intake template
Law firm intake organizer
Organize website intake inquiries into a clean summary with parties for conflict checks; staff review before a record is opened.
- Starts from a webhook
- 1 AI step
- Human approval

What it does
The whole workflow, at a glance.
Intake forms are long and inconsistent. AI organizes each inquiry into the matter type, parties, key dates and a factual summary, and lists every name for your conflict check. It does not give legal advice or assess the case. Staff review first; approved intakes become a record in your Notion intake database and the team is notified.

Apps and AI
What it connects to.
Apps
Swap any of them for another app: connect it in Settings → Integrations, or call its API with an HTTP step and a key from the credential vault.
AI on your own key
Works with any of the 14 providers you can connect. AI steps use your provider's default model until you pick another, and you pay your provider directly, at cost.

Setup checklist
Before you switch it on.
The canvas highlights anything still missing, and Dry Run works before any of this is done.
- Send your website intake form to the workflow's webhook URL.
- Connect an AI provider in Settings → AI Providers. Check your firm's policy on sending client information to AI providers first.
- Create a Notion integration token, save it as a Bearer credential, share your intake database with it and replace YOUR_DATABASE_ID.
- Connect Slack and pick the connection and channel in “Notify the team”.
- Assign the review step to your intake staff.
FAQ
Questions about this template.
Does the AI give legal advice?
No. It only organizes what the person wrote. Every intake is reviewed by your staff, and decisions stay with your attorneys.
Where does client information go?
To your own AI provider account (on your key) and your own Notion and Slack. Review your provider's data terms and your firm's policies before using it with client data.
Is it free to try?
Yes. Create a free account with no credit card and the template opens in your canvas. Build and Dry Run it free; run it live on any paid plan from $39/mo.
Which AI model does it use?
Whichever provider you connect. The AI step uses the default model of your connected provider (any of 14, on your own key), and you can pick a different model for each step.
Can I test it before it touches real data?
Yes. Dry Run walks through every step with simulated AI and app calls, so you can see the path it takes before you activate the trigger.
