Sound familiar?
The job, before and after this agent.
What it feels like today
- “First-pass review of routine contracts eats the hours we should spend on judgement calls.”
- “Every lawyer on the team applies our positions a little differently.”
- “One-sided indemnity and liability clauses slip through when we're rushed.”
What you get with the agent
- Each contract reviewed clause by clause against the playbook page you keep in Notion, read fresh on every review
- Deviations, missing clauses, vague terms and the obligations and deadlines you'd take on, each with a risk level
- The original text quoted with paste-ready redline language and the question the attorney or client must decide
- High-risk contracts flagged to your legal channel in Slack straight away
- An attorney edits and approves the issue list; the memo is saved to your Notion contracts database
Before
An associate reads a 20-page MSA with the playbook open in another window, typing issues and fallback language into a memo by hand.
After
The attorney opens an issue list already mapped to your playbook, with quotes and suggested redlines, and spends their time deciding what to push on.
How it works
The whole workflow, step by step.
Send a contract's text with the side you represent. AI reads your contract playbook from its Notion page (so the latest positions are always used) and reviews the contract clause by clause against it: deviations, risk levels, missing clauses, vague terms and the deadlines and obligations you'd take on, with the original text quoted and paste-ready redline language for each issue. High-risk contracts are flagged to your legal channel in Slack straight away. An attorney reviews and edits the issue list, and the approved review memo is saved to your Notion database. It's a first-pass draft for a lawyer, not legal advice, and it doesn't produce a tracked-changes Word file.

This is the workflow that opens in your workspace when you set the agent up. Every step can be edited.
- Step 1Contract to reviewYour intake form or document tool posts the contract's text, which side you represent and any instructions to the workflow's webhook URL.
- Step 2Read your contract playbookReads the text of your contract playbook page in Notion (preferred and fallback positions per clause, required clauses), up to 500 blocks or 50,000 characters, so the review always uses the version your lawyers keep up to date.
- Step 3Review the contract against your playbookAI reads the contract clause by clause against your playbook, lists deviations, risks, missing clauses and key dates, and suggests redline language for each issue.
- Step 4High risk?Contracts with high-risk issues are flagged to your legal channel in Slack straight away.
- Step 5Flag high-risk contracts in SlackPosts the contract, counterparty, number of high-risk issues and the summary to your legal channel.
- Step 6Not high riskOther contracts go through review without a Slack flag.
- Step 7Attorney reviews the issue listAn attorney checks the issues and suggested redlines in Reviews, edits them and approves saving the memo to Notion.
- Step 8Save the review memo to NotionCreates a page in your Notion contracts database with the issue list, suggested redlines and open questions.
Example run
What goes in, and what comes out.
Example with fictional data
Comes in
A fictional MSA where your client is the customer: 15-day payment terms, 1.5% monthly late interest, and all work product, including customer configurations, owned by the provider.
The agent produces
Issues listed: payment terms shorter than your playbook's 30 days (medium), IP clause takes ownership of customer configurations (high), with the original text quoted and suggested replacement language. Flagged in Slack as high risk, waiting for attorney review.
What you need
Everything it takes to run it.
About 20 minutes from purchase to live. A checklist above the canvas takes you through each step.
Plan
Included in Enterprise; on other paid plans it's $249 once. Agents run live on paid plans, from Basic ($39/mo).
Your AI key
Connect any of 14 AI providers on your own key. Your provider bills usage directly, at cost; we add no markup.
Checklist
- A paid plan (agents run live on paid plans).
- An AI provider key (Settings → AI Providers), used under your firm's policy for client documents.
- Slack and Notion, connected in Settings → Integrations.
- Your contract playbook on a Notion page shared with Fluxo Flow, and a form or tool that can send the contract text to a webhook URL.
Setup, about 20 minutes
- Connect your AI provider. The AI steps run on your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more). Add one in Settings → AI Providers.
- Connect Slack. Connect the Slack workspace your legal team uses (Settings → Integrations → Slack).
- Connect Notion. Connect your Notion workspace (Settings → Integrations → Notion) and share your playbook page and contracts database with Fluxo Flow (••• → Connections).
- Point it at your contract playbook. Open “Read your contract playbook”, pick your Notion account and paste the playbook page link. The review is only as good as the playbook.
- Pick the legal channel. Open “Flag high-risk contracts in Slack” and pick your account and channel. Invite the app to private channels first (/invite @Fluxo Flow).
- Pick your contracts database. Open “Save the review memo to Notion” and pick your account and database.
- Test it with Dry Run. Press Dry Run: the agent runs on sample data with no messages sent and nothing written to your apps.
- Switch the trigger on. Open the trigger, switch the webhook on and send contracts (text, contract type, our side, requester) to its URL. Assign the review step to your attorneys.
Is it a fit?
Who it's for, and what it won't do.
Built for
- In-house legal teams reviewing vendor and customer contracts
- Small and mid-sized law firms with a commercial practice
- Contract managers working to a standard playbook
What it doesn't do
- It isn't legal advice and doesn't replace attorney review; every memo waits for an attorney.
- It doesn't open Word or PDF files or produce a tracked-changes document; send the text, and apply the suggested redlines in Word.
- It doesn't connect to document-management systems (NetDocuments, iManage).
- Very long contracts may need to be sent in parts.
- It reads one playbook page's top-level text (up to 500 blocks or 50,000 characters); text inside toggles or sub-pages isn't read.
We list the limits up front so you can decide before you buy.

FAQ
Questions about Contract Review & Redline Agent.
Is this legal advice?
No. It's a first-pass draft for a lawyer. Every memo waits for an attorney to review and edit, and the agent works only from your playbook and the contract text you send.
Does it produce a tracked-changes Word file?
No. It gives the original text and suggested replacement language in a Notion memo; the attorney applies changes in Word. Send the contract as text; it doesn't open Word or PDF files or connect to document-management systems.
What about confidentiality?
It runs on your own AI provider key, used under your firm's policy for client documents, and the memo is saved to your own Notion workspace.
What does it take, and is it worth it?
About 20 minutes: connect Slack and Notion and point it at your playbook page. It's a one-time purchase that never renews that takes routine first-pass review off your lawyers' desks. Live runs need a paid plan; Dry Run is free.
Where does it get our positions from?
From one Notion page you keep: your preferred and fallback positions per clause and the clauses you require, written however you like. It's read on every review, so edits apply to the next contract. It reads the page's top-level text (up to 500 blocks or 50,000 characters); text inside toggles or sub-pages isn't read.
Can I upload a PDF?
Send the contract as text (copy it from Word or a text-based PDF). It doesn't open files itself.
Is this a subscription?
No. Contract Review & Redline Agent is a one-time purchase of $249 per workspace and never renews. The Enterprise plan includes it at no extra cost. Running it live needs a paid plan (from Basic ($39/mo)), and your AI provider bills you directly for usage.
Can I test it before it touches real data?
Yes. Once it's set up in your workspace, Dry Run plays every step on sample data with simulated AI and app calls: nothing is sent and nothing in your apps changes. Switch the trigger on only when you're happy.
