- Starts when your form or app sends it something
- 1 AI step
- A person approves before it acts
- About 20 min to set up
Sound familiar?
The job, before and after this agent.
What it feels like today
- “We get a pile of applications and the good ones wait days for a reply.”
- “Every reviewer screens differently, so it's hard to compare candidates.”
- “Writing decline emails is the part everyone puts off.”
What you get with the agent
- Every must-have and nice-to-have checked with evidence from the application, a 0 to 100 score and an interview, hold or decline recommendation.
- Protected characteristics ignored; missing information treated as unclear, not as a fail.
- Every candidate logged to your Google Sheets pipeline with score, strengths and concerns.
- Shortlisted candidates posted to your Slack hiring channel with suggested interview questions.
- Invites (with your booking link) and kind declines are sent only after a recruiter approves them.
Before
Sixty applications for one support role. You skim résumés at night, lose track of who you liked, and strong candidates take other offers while they wait.
After
Each application arrives scored with evidence against your must-haves. Your shortlist is in Slack the same day, and approving an invite is one click. Held candidates stay in your sheet as a talent pool.
How it works
The whole workflow, step by step.
Receives each application (with the résumé text) from your careers page or application form through a webhook. AI checks every must-have and nice-to-have you paste in, with evidence from the application, scores it 0–100 and recommends interview, hold or decline, ignoring protected characteristics. Every candidate is logged to your Google Sheets pipeline. Shortlisted candidates are posted to your Slack hiring channel and, once a recruiter approves, emailed an invite with your booking link; declines are also approved by a person before they're sent. It reads résumé text, not PDF files.

This is the workflow that opens in your workspace when you set the agent up. Every step can be edited.
- Step 1New applicationYour careers page or application form posts each new application (with the résumé text) to the workflow's webhook URL.
- Step 2Screen against the roleAI checks the application against your must-haves and nice-to-haves, scores it 0–100 with the evidence, and recommends interview, hold or decline, with interview questions and a draft email.
- Step 3Interview, hold or decline?Follows the AI's recommendation; every candidate is logged, and no email goes out without a person approving it.
- Step 4Log the candidate in Google SheetsAdds a row to your candidate pipeline sheet with the score, recommendation, must-haves, strengths and concerns.
- Step 5LoggedThe run history keeps the screening for every candidate.
- Step 6Tell the hiring team in SlackPosts shortlisted candidates to your hiring channel with the score, evidence and suggested interview questions.
- Step 7Approve the interview inviteA recruiter checks the shortlist decision and the invite email in Reviews, edits it if needed and approves it.
- Step 8Email the interview inviteSends the approved invite with your interview booking link, with replies going to your hiring inbox.
- Step 9Approve the declineA recruiter confirms the decline in Reviews (no candidate is declined automatically) and approves the email.
- Step 10Email the declineSends the approved, kindly worded decline, with replies going to your hiring inbox.

FAQ
Questions about HR & Recruitment Screening.
Will it reject people automatically?
Never. Decline is only a recommendation, and every invite and decline email waits for a recruiter to approve it. It's built to ignore protected characteristics and shows the evidence behind each score.
Can it read résumé PDFs?
It reads résumé text. Most application forms can include it, or candidates can paste it. It doesn't book interviews in your calendar or update an applicant tracking system.
How long is setup?
About 20 minutes: paste in the role and its requirements, connect Google Sheets and Slack, and add your booking link. To run it live you need a paid plan and your own AI provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others), added in Settings. Dry Run on sample data is free, so you can see real output before you commit.
Is it worth the price?
It's a one-time purchase that never renews. Compare that with the hours spent screening every role by hand, or a recruiter's fee for a single hire.
Does it reject candidates automatically?
No. A decline is only a recommendation; a recruiter approves every email, invite or decline, in Reviews.
Is this a subscription?
No. HR & Recruitment Screening is a one-time purchase of $89 per workspace and never renews. The Enterprise plan includes it at no extra cost. Running it live needs a paid plan (from Basic ($39/mo)), and your AI provider bills you directly for usage.
Can I test it before it touches real data?
Yes. Once it's set up in your workspace, Dry Run plays every step on sample data with simulated AI and app calls: nothing is sent and nothing in your apps changes. Switch the trigger on only when you're happy.
