Salesforce lead alerts in Slack, cleaned up by AI

Post new Leads with a readable summary, flag opportunity changes that matter, and create clean records from messy inquiries before anyone is alerted.

In short

Fluxo Flow connects Salesforce and Slack (both live): a new or changed record of any object (Lead, Opportunity, Case, a custom object) starts a workflow that can summarize or check it with AI and post to a Slack channel, and inquiries can be cleaned by AI before becoming Salesforce records.

What you can build

Salesforce + Slack: 3 workflows.

Every step is a real node or connector action in the app.

New Lead → AI summary → Slack

4 steps

Each new Lead gets a one-line, human-readable summary in the sales channel.

  1. Step 1: App event triggerSalesforce: New record (Lead)
  2. Step 2: IntegrationSalesforce: Get a record (custom fields)
  3. Step 3: AI GenerateWho, what they need, how urgent
  4. Step 4: Slack PostPost to #new-leads

Result: Reps see what a lead wants without opening Salesforce.

Opportunity changed → only the changes that matter

3 steps

Opportunity updates are filtered to stage moves and big amount changes before anyone is pinged.

  1. Step 1: App event triggerSalesforce: New or updated record (Opportunity)
  2. Step 2: RouterClosed Won, or amount over your threshold?
  3. Step 3: Slack PostPost to #deals

Result: A deals channel that reports news, not every field edit.

Messy inquiry → clean Lead → Slack

4 steps

The template: AI splits names and normalizes company and phone before the Lead is created.

  1. Step 1: Webhook triggerContact form or chat inquiry
  2. Step 2: AI GenerateSplit names, normalize fields, summarize need
  3. Step 3: IntegrationSalesforce: Create or update a record (Lead)
  4. Step 4: Slack PostTell the team

Result: No half-filled Lead records, and nobody copies from the inbox.

Under the hood

The triggers and actions these use.

  • Salesforce: New recordtrigger, checked on your plan's interval

Starts a run for each new record of an object (Lead, Case, Opportunity, a custom object…). Standard fields are included; use “Get a record” for custom fields.

  • Salesforce: New or updated recordtrigger, checked on your plan's interval

Starts a run each time a record of an object is created or changed (checked with SystemModstamp).

  • Salesforce: Get a recordaction

    Reads one record by id.

  • Salesforce: Create or update a recordaction

Updates the record whose external ID field matches, or creates one when there's no match.

  • Slack: Post a messageaction

Posts a message (plain text or Block Kit blocks) to a channel as the Fluxo Flow app.

Set it up

Connect Salesforce + Slack in 4 steps.

  1. Connect Salesforce

In Settings → Integrations, click Connect on Salesforce (pick Sandbox for a sandbox org) and allow access. Your org needs API access (Enterprise, Unlimited, Developer or Performance edition).

  2. Connect Slack

Connect Slack and invite the app to the channel with /invite @Fluxo Flow.

  3. Pick the object and fields

In the trigger, choose the object (Lead, Opportunity, Case or a custom object). Standard fields come with the trigger; add "Get a record" for custom fields.

  4. Dry Run, then activate

Dry Run with a sample record, check the Slack message in the trace, then activate.

Salesforce's own Slack integration vs a workflow

Salesforce offers its own Slack integrations for record alerts and sharing. Use them for straightforward notifications. Use Fluxo Flow when the alert needs work first: an AI summary, filtering to the changes that matter, cleaning an inquiry before it becomes a record, or a person's approval before anything is written.

API limits and polling

Salesforce triggers check your org on your plan's schedule interval (at least every 2 minutes), and each check uses one API call from your org's daily allowance. SOQL queries are read-only and take run data as escaped parameters, so a field value can't change the query. See the Salesforce integration page for every action.

FAQ

Salesforce + Slack: questions.

Which Salesforce editions work?

Editions with API access: Enterprise, Unlimited, Developer and Performance.

Does it count against my Salesforce API limits?

Yes. Each trigger check and each action is an API call from your org's daily allowance; a trigger checking every 2 minutes uses about 720 calls a day.

Can it watch custom objects?

Yes. Pick any object in the trigger; use "Get a record" to read custom fields.

Can I use it on the Free plan?

You can build and Dry Run this on the Free plan. Running it live (schedules, app triggers, webhooks) needs a paid plan.
