A weekly report from Google Sheets, written by AI and emailed

Every Monday the numbers in a sheet become a short, honest written update, and it's emailed once someone has approved it.

In short

Fluxo Flow reads rows from Google Sheets (live) on a schedule, has an AI step write the report from the numbers, waits for a Human Review approval if you want one, and sends it with the built-in Send Email step.

What you can build

Google Sheets → Email report: 2 workflows.

Every step is a real node or connector action in the app.

Monday report, approved before it's sent

5 steps

The template: read the metrics, write the update, the account manager approves, the client gets the email.

  1. Step 1: Scheduled triggerMondays at 8am, your time zone
  2. Step 2: IntegrationGoogle Sheets: Read rows (last week)
  3. Step 3: AI GenerateHighlights, honest notes on dips, next week's focus
  4. Step 4: Human ReviewAccount manager approves or edits
  5. Step 5: Send EmailEmail the report

Result: A report that goes out every week, checked by a person, without the copy-paste.

Internal KPI email, no approval

4 steps

For your own team, skip the review and send straight after the AI step.

  1. Step 1: Scheduled triggerFridays at 4pm
  2. Step 2: IntegrationGoogle Sheets: Read rows
  3. Step 3: AI GenerateWeek in numbers, three bullets
  4. Step 4: Send EmailEmail the leadership list

Result: Everyone gets the same numbers with the same explanation.

Under the hood

The triggers and actions these use.

  • Google Sheets: Read rowsaction

Reads the rows of a sheet as objects keyed by the header row.

  • Google Sheets: Find a rowaction

Finds the first row where a column equals a value.

Set it up

Connect Google Sheets → Email report in 4 steps.

  1. Connect Google Sheets

In Settings → Integrations, connect Google with the account that can open the sheet. In the read step, paste the spreadsheet link and the range.

  2. Connect an AI provider and write the brief

Add a key in Settings → AI Providers. In the AI step's prompt, say what the reader cares about, how long it should be, and to state dips plainly.

  3. Set the recipient and the schedule

Put the address in Send Email, set the schedule's day, time and time zone.

  4. Dry Run, then activate

Dry Run with last week's rows and read the draft in the trace. Pick the review outcome to test both branches, then activate the schedule.

Which email step sends it

The template uses the built-in Send Email step, which needs no email connection. To send from your own mailbox instead, use the Gmail connector (send only, beta) or the Outlook Mail connector (beta); reading a Gmail inbox is coming soon. If the report goes to clients, keep the Human Review step: it's the difference between "AI wrote this" and "we sent this".

Writing reports clients actually read

Lead with the one number that moved, explain dips instead of hiding them, and end with what happens next week. Our client reporting automation guide has a prompt structure and a review checklist. For a team channel instead of an inbox, see Google Sheets to Slack.

FAQ

Google Sheets → Email report: questions.

Can I run it for several clients?

Duplicate the workflow per client and point each copy at that client's sheet and email address, or keep each client in its own workspace.

Does it change my sheet?

No. It only reads the range you set.

Can the email come from my Gmail address?

Yes, with the Gmail connector's send action (beta) in place of Send Email. Gmail inbox triggers are coming soon.

Can I use it on the Free plan?

You can build and Dry Run this on the Free plan. Running it live (schedules, app triggers, webhooks) needs a paid plan.
