Productivity integration

Asana integration for AI workflows.

Turn emails, forms and leads into Asana tasks, and react when new tasks land in a project.

Beta

In short

Fluxo Flow connects to Asana by signing in to Asana; workflows can create a task, update a task and add a comment and more, and start from new task in project. The integration is in beta.

Beta means it works but hasn't been tested against every account setup yet; actions and fields may still change. Found a problem? Tell us.

What you can do

Actions and triggers for Asana.

Actions

  • Create a task

Creates a task in a project, optionally assigned with a due date.

  • Update a task

Renames, reassigns, reschedules or completes a task (fields left blank don't change).

  • Add a comment

Posts a comment on a task (it appears in the task's activity).

  • Get a task

    Reads a task's details.

Triggers

  • New task in project (checked on your plan's schedule interval)

Starts a run for each task added to a project. Checked on your plan's schedule interval.

How to connect

  2. Sign in to Asana and allow Fluxo Flow.

Permissions & limits

What it can access, and how fast it runs.

Permissions requested

  • Pick workspaces and projects

    workspaces:read, projects:read

  • Create, update and read tasks; new-task trigger

    tasks:read, tasks:write

  • Add comments

    stories:write

  • Show which account is connected

    users:read

Limits and timing

  • Polling triggers are checked on your plan's schedule interval: Basic every 15 minutes, Pro every 5 minutes, Business every 2 minutes, Elite every minute.
  • If Asana says to slow down (HTTP 429 or 503), requests wait as told and retry a limited number of times.

FAQ

Asana questions, answered.

How fast does the new-task trigger react?

It checks the project on your plan's schedule interval (every minute on the highest plans).

Can I assign tasks by email?

Yes — Assignee accepts an email address, an Asana user id, or “me”.

Is the Asana integration finished?

It's in beta: it works, but it hasn't been tested against every account setup yet. Tell us if something doesn't behave as expected.

Can I use Asana on the Free plan?

You can connect it, build with it and Dry Run on the Free plan. Running workflows live (triggers, schedules, webhooks) needs a paid plan.

What happens if the connection expires?

Access tokens are renewed automatically. If Asana revokes access (for example, the person who connected it leaves), steps that use the connection fail and show the error in the run trace; reconnect in Settings → Integrations.

Can I call Asana endpoints the integration doesn't cover?

Yes, if Asana has an API: save a key in the encrypted credential vault and call it with an HTTP Request step.

Can I test a workflow without touching my real data?

Yes. Dry Run walks through every step with simulated app calls, so nothing is sent until you run it for real or activate its trigger.
