Messaging integration
Discord integration for AI workflows.
Post alerts to your Discord server and react to what your community or crew posts.
In short
Fluxo Flow connects to Discord with an API key or credentials you provide; workflows can send a message, start a thread on a message and add a reaction, and start from new message in channel. The integration is in beta.
Beta means it works but hasn't been tested against every account setup yet; actions and fields may still change. Found a problem? Tell us.
What you can do
Actions and triggers for Discord.
Actions
Send a message
Posts a message (text and/or embeds) to a channel as your bot.
Start a thread on a message
Starts a public thread from an existing message (e.g. one the bot just posted).
Add a reaction
Reacts to a message with an emoji as your bot.
Triggers
New message in channel (checked on your plan's schedule interval)
Starts a run for each new message in a channel, checked on your plan's schedule interval (Discord only pushes messages over a live Gateway connection, which Fluxo Flow doesn't hold).
How to connect
Connect Discord in a minute.
Connects with an API key or credentials, tested before they're saved and encrypted at rest.
- At discord.com/developers, create an application → Bot → Reset Token, and copy the token.
- For the New message trigger, turn on “Message Content Intent” on the Bot page.
- OAuth2 → URL Generator: tick “bot” plus the permissions above, open the link and add the bot to your server.
- In Fluxo Flow, open Settings → Integrations → Discord and paste the token.
Permissions & limits
What it can access, and how fast it runs.
Permissions requested
Bot invite (OAuth2 URL Generator): scope
bot
Bot permissions: View Channel, Send Messages, Read Message History, Create Public Threads, Add Reactions
Reading message text in the New message trigger: privileged intent
MESSAGE_CONTENT
Limits and timing
- Polling triggers are checked on your plan's schedule interval: Basic every 15 minutes, Pro every 5 minutes, Business every 2 minutes, Elite every minute.
- If Discord says to slow down (HTTP 429 or 503), requests wait as told and retry a limited number of times.

FAQ
Discord questions, answered.
Why isn't the new-message trigger instant?
Discord delivers messages to bots in real time only over a permanently open Gateway connection. Fluxo Flow runs serverless, so it checks the channel on your plan's schedule interval instead.
The trigger fires but the text is empty.
Turn on “Message Content Intent” in the Developer Portal (Bot page). Without it, Discord hides message text from bots.
Is there a simpler way to just post messages?
Yes: the “Discord (channel webhook)” app posts with a channel's webhook link — no bot needed.
Is the Discord integration finished?
It's in beta: it works, but it hasn't been tested against every account setup yet. Tell us if something doesn't behave as expected.
Can I use Discord on the Free plan?
You can connect it, build with it and Dry Run on the Free plan. Running workflows live (triggers, schedules, webhooks) needs a paid plan.
Can I call Discord endpoints the integration doesn't cover?
Yes, if Discord has an API: save a key in the encrypted credential vault and call it with an HTTP Request step.
Can I test a workflow without touching my real data?
Yes. Dry Run walks through every step with simulated app calls, so nothing is sent until you run it for real or activate its trigger.
